About Dusk Glow

We're a psychology and personal development practice built on the belief that everyone has the capacity for meaningful change when given the right support and tools.

Our Story

Dusk Glow began in 2014 when our founder recognised a gap in accessible, compassionate psychological support in the UK. Too many people were struggling silently, either unable to access traditional therapy or unsure whether they needed it at all. The vision was simple: create a space where people could explore their challenges and aspirations without judgment, stigma, or unnecessary barriers.

What started as a small practice in a single consultation room has grown into a trusted resource for individuals seeking both therapeutic support and personal development guidance. We've worked with over eight hundred clients, each with their own story, their own struggles, and their own definition of what healing and growth look like.

The name "Dusk Glow" reflects a particular moment in time—that transitional period between day and night where light still remains, but darkness is approaching. It's a metaphor for the liminal spaces our clients often find themselves in: between who they were and who they're becoming, between struggle and hope, between endings and new beginnings. We work in that space, helping people navigate transitions with courage and clarity.

Over the years, our approach has evolved. We've integrated new research, adapted to changing client needs, and refined our methods. What hasn't changed is our commitment to treating every person who walks through our doors as a whole human being, not a diagnosis or a problem to be solved.

Our Values

Integrity

We practice with honesty, transparency, and ethical responsibility. Our clients trust us with their most vulnerable moments, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Compassion

We believe in meeting people where they are with empathy and without judgment. Everyone's journey is unique, and all struggles are valid.

Excellence

We maintain high professional standards through ongoing training, supervision, and evidence-based practice. Your wellbeing deserves nothing less.

Empowerment

Our goal is to help you build the skills and confidence to navigate life independently. We're here to support, not to create dependency.

Accessibility

We strive to make quality psychological support available to as many people as possible through flexible options and clear communication.

Continuous Growth

We model the growth we encourage in others by staying curious, learning from experience, and evolving our practice based on feedback.

Our Approach to Practice

We work integratively, drawing from various evidence-based psychological frameworks depending on what serves each client best. Our foundation is relational—we believe the quality of the therapeutic relationship is central to effective support. Within that foundation, we adapt our methods to fit your needs.

For some clients, cognitive behavioural therapy provides the structured, skills-based approach they need to manage anxiety or depression. Others benefit more from person-centred exploration that helps them clarify values and make meaning of their experiences. Many find mindfulness practices transformative for developing emotional awareness and regulation.

We don't believe in rigid protocols that treat everyone the same. Instead, we collaborate with you to understand what's working, what isn't, and how we need to adjust. You're not a passive recipient of treatment—you're an active participant in a process of discovery and change.

All our practitioners engage in regular clinical supervision, ensuring we maintain high standards of care and continue developing our skills. We also stay current with psychological research and best practices through ongoing professional development.
